Tansy Recycling was started in 2021 by Ryan. A DIY crafter by nature, he was inspired after seeing the work of the international organization, Precious Plastic, who provides resources for folks to do their own small-scale recycling and education to combat the global plastic pollution problem. At first, Ryan experimented with making plant pots with silicone molds in a toaster oven. Melting the trash layer by layer, one can meticulously stuff the mold with (clean) discarded packaging and grocery bags.
